Six tools, three categories, and a lot of real tradeoffs — this chapter turns everything covered so far into an actual decision process. Five questions, asked in order, narrow the field from all six tools down to a genuine short list for your own situation. The order matters: the first two questions are hard constraints that eliminate options outright, while the last three are genuine tradeoffs worth weighing rather than filters.

Notice that a Linux-based reader is left with the two post-hoc pipelines as the only fully mature options today — a real, practical constraint worth knowing up front rather than discovering after investing time in a tool that turns out not to fit.

Question 2: How Much Manual Control Do You Actually Want?

This is Chapter 1's own category axis, recast as a personal preference. Question 4: Does This Tutorial Genuinely Need to Explain "Why"?
