Three verbs — drei Verben
Reservieren ("to reserve") is regular; bleiben ("to stay") and brauchen ("to need") follow the patterns you already know.

"Ich habe reserviert" and "Wie lange bleiben Sie?"
When you booked ahead, the natural sentence is Ich habe ein Zimmer reserviert ("I have reserved a room"): a form of haben from Chapter 5 plus the word reserviert at the end. If the receptionist asks Wie lange bleiben Sie? ("How long are you staying?"), you can answer with the number of nights: Drei Nächte ("Three nights").

Floors — Erdgeschoss and Stock
In Germany the ground floor is the Erdgeschoss (AIRT-geh-shos), often written EG. The floor above it is the erste Stock (first floor), then the zweite Stock, and so on — the same as in Britain. You say im ersten Stock, im zweiten Stock ("on the first / second floor"). A room number is usually read in digits: 204 is zwei null vier.

Real German Tip — Breakfast, WLAN & Check-Out Times
Many German hotels serve a large Frühstücksbuffet (breakfast buffet) with bread, cold meats, cheese, eggs and cereal — it's often included, but always worth checking with Ist das Frühstück inklusive? For internet, Germans say WLAN (not "WiFi"), so ask Ist das WLAN kostenlos? Check-in is often from about 2 or 3 p.m. and check-out by about 11 a.m., but times vary — ask when you arrive. Some cities and resorts add a small tourist tax per night (Kurtaxe or Übernachtungssteuer), which may not be in the quoted price.
Quick Grammar Note — "auf den Namen" and "im zweiten Stock"
Two ready-made phrases here contain grammar you haven't met yet: auf den Namen Weber ("in the name of Weber") and im zweiten Stock ("on the second floor"). The endings (-en) come from the dative and accusative cases, arriving in a later course. For now, just learn each phrase exactly as written.
