"Korea was colonized in 1905." Identify what is imprecise and rewrite it.

WHAT IS IMPRECISE
- 1905 is when the Eulsa Treaty (17 November) made Korea a Japanese
  protectorate, not when it was annexed.
- The 1907 treaty then stripped Korea of internal administrative authority.
- The formal annexation was the Japan-Korea Treaty, signed on 22 August 1910
  and proclaimed on 29 August 1910.
- "Colonized" as a single date hides a process, and the legal status of the
  1905 and 1910 steps is itself disputed.

REWRITE
"Korea became a Japanese protectorate under the Eulsa Treaty of 17 November
1905 and was formally annexed by the treaty signed on 22 August 1910; Korea
and Japan still dispute the legal validity of those treaties."
