ROW: ROLE OF MASS PROTEST
Rhee: the March 1960 rigged election and the 19 April march (about 180
killed) were followed by professors joining on 25 April and Rhee's
resignation on 26 April.
Park: not established by my sources; the Busan-Masan Uprising of October 1979
preceded the assassination but I did not research its role.
Chun: the 1980 Gwangju Uprising was retaken by the military; the June 1987
protests (an estimated 4 to 5 million) were followed by the June 29
Declaration.
