klingon_grammar1-7 Exercise 1: Rovers and Negation =================================================== (a) "I do not see it" vIlegh + be' -> vIleghbe' (b) "I can see it" vIlegh + laH -> vIleghlaH (c) "I cannot see it" vIlegh + laH + be' -> vIleghlaHbe' (d) "I am able not to see it" vIlegh + be' + laH -> vIleghbe'laH (e) "I am not able not to see it" vIlegh + be' + laH + be' -> vIleghbe'laHbe' Between (c) and (d): The same pieces are used (prefix, root, -laH, -be'). Only the position of -be' changes. The rover negates what comes before it: in (c) it negates the ability (-laH), so you cannot do it; in (d) it negates the action itself, so you are able to not do it.
