  mi     klama    le zarci
  I      goes     the market

  selbri:  klama   (the relation, "x1 goes to x2 from x3 via route x4 by means x5")
  sumti:   mi      (I)            fills place 1, the goer
           le zarci (the market)  fills place 2, the destination

  Filled places:  x1 (goer), x2 (destination).
  Empty places:   x3 (origin), x4 (route), x5 (means).

"I go to the market." The empty places are not an error: Lojban lets you
leave places unspecified, and they are understood from context.

The point: every relation word has a fixed list of places in a fixed order,
so the structure of the sentence is never in doubt.
