Chapter 7 Β· Ba Bi Bu
πΈ The B Row Begins β γ° γ³ γΆ
The dakuten turns h into b, giving γ° (ba), γ³ (bi) and γΆ (bu). This chapter also solves a small puzzle: why the greeting γγγ°γγ― ends in a character you'd read ha but say wa. Romaji is shown for everything.
| Plain | With γ | Sound before | Sound now |
|---|---|---|---|
| γ― | γ° | ha | ba |
| γ² | γ³ | hi | bi |
| γ΅ | γΆ | fu | bu |
| a | i | u | e | o | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| h | γ― | γ² | γ΅ | γΈ | γ» |
| b (h + γ) | γ° | γ³ | γΆ | γΉ | γΌ |
The three highlighted characters are today's. γΉ and γΌ come in Chapter 8.
