Chapter 4 Β· Ze Zo
πΈ Finishing the Z Row β γ γ
Two characters complete the Z row: γ (ze) and γ (zo), the voiced forms of γ and γ. With them you can read γγγ (family) and γγ (wind; a cold). Romaji is shown for everything.
| Plain | With γ | Sound before | Sound now |
|---|---|---|---|
| γ | γ | se | ze |
| γ | γ | so | zo |
| a | i | u | e | o | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| s | γ | γ | γ | γ | γ |
| z (s + γ) | γ | γ | γ | γ | γ |
The two highlighted characters are today's; the Z row is now complete. Notice that γ is the only one that doesn't sound like a plain "z".
