Exercise 1: Why Refactor -> Rename Beats Find-and-Replace — Possible Solution ============================================================================= TASK Explain why renaming a method with Xcode's Refactor command is safer than find-and-replace. ANSWER The sources describe the refactoring engine as able to transform code locally within one Swift file or globally, renaming a method or property that occurs in multiple files and even different languages. It works on the structure of the code, so it renames real uses of that method. Plain find-and-replace works on text. It can change unrelated words that happen to match, and it does not know which occurrences refer to the same method. CAUTION The claim about structural awareness is my reading of the description, and the chapter did not test a rename. After any refactor, build and run your tests.
