Exercise 1: What LLDB Is — Possible Solution ============================================= TASK Explain what LLDB is, who created it, and what it replaced in Xcode. Then say what evidence suggests LLDB skills are not limited to Xcode. ANSWER LLDB is a debugger created by Chris Lattner as part of the LLVM project. It became the default debugger for Xcode 5 and later, replacing GDB. EVIDENCE IT IS NOT LIMITED TO XCODE The reference article says LLDB runs on macOS, Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD and Windows, and that it is also used in Android Studio and Visual Studio Code, among other tools. A skill learned with LLDB commands therefore has uses outside Xcode. CAUTION The article does not say how similar each tool's console is, so I would not claim the commands behave identically everywhere without trying them.
