euesa1-5, Exercise 3: Judging a mission This exercise has no single answer. A good answer has four parts: 1. The mission chosen and its aim. 2. What actually happened (with a date checked in a reliable source). 3. A verdict: success, partial success or failure. 4. One reason, which may point to the science, the engineering or the money. Example (Rosetta and Philae): the aim was to orbit a comet and land on it. Rosetta orbited comet 67P in 2014 and Philae landed, though it bounced into shadow and contact was brief. A reasonable verdict is a success for the science (the first orbit and landing at a comet) with a partial failure for the lander.
