huspa1-1, Exercise 2: Roman use of the springs Model answer: The evidence is the remains of bath buildings at and near Aquincum, the Roman military camp and civil town in what is now north Budapest, including underfloor heating systems, together with objects in the Aquincum Museum. This shows the springs were used for bathing, not only drinking. What we do not know in detail: how the baths were used day to day, how they were run, and how continuous use was between the Roman and later periods. Medieval evidence is thinner. Dates and which remains are visible should be checked.
