Example: Easter Monday locsolás. Church layer: Easter, with blessed food. Seasonal layer: a spring festival of renewal, with water for freshness and fertility. Local layer: the rhyme recited, the decorated eggs given, and the regional forms of the visit. Martin's Day works equally well: the saint's feast (church), the new wine and goose (farming year), and local sayings about the weather. Any two with all three layers named are acceptable (check).
