It was a multi-day celebration with processions, music, dance, special foods, ritual songs and a display of the bride's dowry, and the bride's dress and headdress changed to mark her new status. To check: which customs belong to which region, how long the celebration lasted, and whether the ritual songs are recorded or reconstructed. Any rite with a clear description and honest "check" points is acceptable.
