(a) UFA was formed in 1917: record. It can be checked in archives and reference works.
(b) A film is called "the greatest German film ever made": reputation. It is a judgement or slogan, repeated for decades, and the facts behind it are usually more complicated.
(c) Your recollection of a German film seen long ago on television: memory. Good for atmosphere, unreliable for the year, the cast or even the country that made it.
