Model answer (an example):

Daft Punk. Typical: they came out of the 1990s French dance scene and combined filtered, disco-influenced house with humour and style, and they treat the studio as the instrument. Distinctive: the robot helmets and anonymity, the focus on whole albums and a strong visual identity, and a very large international audience. Their first albums, Homework (1997) and Discovery (2001), are the usual starting points.

Any of the three acts is acceptable if the answer names something typical and something distinctive.
