frlit1-1, Exercise 2: Record, legend or memory

Model answer:

(a) Record. The founding of the Academie francaise in 1635 is a documented date, though the circumstances are worth checking.
(b) Legend. The cake line is quoted constantly, but the sentence appears in a book by Rousseau about an unnamed princess, and Marie Antoinette is very unlikely to have said it.
(c) Memory. Your recollection is good for mood and unreliable for the plot, the date or even the author.
