	<p>I am not a Hungarian speaker, or in any way an expert in Hungarian history or culture.  However, my paternal heritage is Hungarian and I have lots of family there so I am creating these pages as a way of learning more about both of these things.  My aim, when it comes to the language, is to become at least conversant in it so that I can speak to people when I am visiting Hungary.  If you have ever visited Budapest, you may know that it is common enought to encounter English speakers that English-speaking tourists can get by withouth too much difficulty.</p>
	<p>Away from the capital, English is less commonly spoken and so learning the language is useful if you wish to explore more of the country.</p>
